I journeyed through the workshops, meeting the artisan craftsmen and their families, their lives intimately intertwined with the ancient practice of hand-carving marble. Nestled in Rajasthan, Makrana is globally renowned for its pristine white marble. Revered for its purity, strength, and enduring beauty, this marble has graced the palaces of kings and queens for generations, most famously the iconic Taj Mahal and the sacred Ram Mandir.

Finding the right partner felt like destiny. It came in the form of Majid, the bright, engineering-educated son of a family who had been mining this regal stone for over a century. Their legacy was built on tradition, meticulous craftsmanship, and a dedication to the inherent quality of the marble they unearthed.
